Animals

Safaris are about the famed Big Five but they are also about thousands of other creatures both big and small.  Awe at the beautiful giraffe, the world's tallest animal, to some of the smallest and most fascinating, like the dung beetle. You’ll encounter elephants galore, watch out for that tiny baby crossing the road.  See herds of buffalo, many different kinds of antelope, crocodiles sunning themselves on sandbanks, hyenas on the prowl, and, if you’re very lucky, a pack of wild dogs.

Safari Camps

Camps range from mobile tents to luxurious lodges and everything in between!  Imagine listening to lions roar at night or the call of wild dogs.  See elephants walk right through your camp while you sit on your elevated deck with a cocktail in hand. Sleep under the stars in a "sleep out" or "star bed" looking at the brightest starts you'll ever see.  Day and night game drives by jeep, boat, canoe or on foot are all experiences available at different camps along the way.  Dine riverside by hippos or cruise the Zambieze and watch all types of animals drinking by the river.

From Cape Town to Johannesburg to Nairobi see the cities and their vibrant cultures, museums, and markets.   Head out to the Winelands and learn about South African wine.  Maybe you would like to give back by joining a project to help small villages revitalize.  Meet Maasai villagers and learn about their history and customs. You'll hear great stories too!
