Kenya SkySafari guests will start in Nairobi and head to Amboseli National Park, the second most popular wildlife area in Kenya, famous for its large population of over 1000 resident elephants and for its scenic beauty with the backdrop of the world’s highest free-standing mountain, snow-capped Kilimanjaro.

Next is Meru National Park which was brought to fame in the ’60s through Joy Adamson’s bestselling book, Born Free, the true story about Elsa the lioness. The park also incorporates a rhino sanctuary, making Meru one of the prime destinations to see rhinos in their natural habitat. The birdlife in Meru is extraordinarily colorful and abundant with over 400 species of birds. Other activities include fishing in the streams, game drives to Kora and Bisanadi National Reserves, and night game drives.

Finally, fly to the Masai Mara, famous for its astounding numbers of wildlife. With both resident and transient populations of lion, leopard, cheetah, hyena, giraffe, elephant, to name a few, as well as over 450 bird species, the vast fertile plains are dense with game. The area has been classified among the “Seven Wonders of the World” due to the extraordinary annual migration from July to November when over 1.3 million wildebeest and zebra cross from the Serengeti to the Masai Mara in search of greener pastures.

Itinerary

Day  1:  Nairobi

On  arrival  at  Nairobi  International  Airport  you  will  be  fast  tracked through  Immigration  and  transferred  to  Hemingways  by  your SkySafari  driver.  Welcome  dinner  at  Hemingways  (D)

 

Day  2:  Amboseli  NP

Breakfast  and  a  leisurely  morning.  After  a  briefing  transfer  to Wilson  domestic  airport  for  your  45  minutes  flight  to  Amboseli, and  game  drive  through  the  park  to  your  accommodation  for  the following  two  nights,  Tortilis  Camp.  (B,L,D)

 

Day  3:  Amboseli  NP

Enjoy  a  hearty  bush  breakfast  followed  by  a  game  drive.  Enjoy lunch  and  a  siesta  at  the  Camp,  then  head  out  again  for  a  sunset game  drive  or  a  walking  safari  before  sundowners  and  dinner. (B,L,D)

 

Day  4:  Loisaba  Conservancy

Rise  early  for  a  sunrise  game  drive,  then  relax  over  breakfast back  at  Camp.  Fly  just  75  minutes  to  Laikipia  and  the  Loisaba Conservancy  where  lunch  at  Loisaba  Tented  Camp  and  an afternoon  game  drive  await.  (B,L,D)

 

Day  5:  Loisaba  Conservancy

Start  out  with  a  long  morning  game  walk  guided  by  members  of the  Samburu  tribe.  Relax  at  camp,  and  then  depart  on  a  game drive  in  search  of  the  elusive  wild  dog,  Grevy's  zebra,  Oryx  of Kudu.  Enjoy  Sundowners  in  the  bush.  (B,L,D)

 

Day  6:  Loisaba  Conservancy

A  day  of  options  at  Loisaba  -  game  drives,  fishing,  camelback safari  or  just  relax.  Tonight's  highlight  is  the  Star  Bed!  (B,L,D)

 

Day  7:  Masai  Mara  NP

Fly  to  Masai  Mara  NP  in  your  SkySafari  aircraft,  and  arrive  at Sand  River  Masai  Mara  Camp  in  time  for  a  game  drive,  lunch, another  game  drive  and  sundowners.  (B,L,D)

 

Day  8:  Masai  Mara  NP

After  breakfast,  head  off  on  a  full  day  game  drive  of  the  Masai Mara.  You'll  visit  a  Maasai  village  and  have  a  picnic  lunch. (B,L,D)

 

Day  9:  Masai  Mara  NP

A  bush  breakfast  is  followed  by  a  game  drive  and  lunch  back  at camp.  An  afternoon  game  drive  is  followed  by  sundowners  and dinner.  (B,L,D)

 

Day  10:  Depart  from  Nairobi

Mid  morning,  fly  back  to  Nairobi  and  use  your  day  room  at Hemingways  to  relax  in  until  it  is  time  to  head  to  Nairobi International  Airport  for  departure.  (B,L)
