As you approach you will see shops on the right of the Visitor's Center that are built into the cliffs as is the visitor center itself. When you exit the visitors center turn right to follow the path to see the iconic view of the Cliffs and make your way to O'Brien's tower. From here you will see views of Galway Bay and the Aran Islands.
As you make your way to O'Brien's tower up a series of stairs and pathways, there are places along the way to take the most amazing pictures of the Cliffs. The Cliffs stand approximately 700 ft tall above the Atlantic Ocean. They will take your breath away at the majesty, the iridescent green on the top of the cliffs, and the sheer size and their ability to withstand the barrage of waves. The views from all sides are stunning. Take pictures up the walkway and after visiting the tower you can continue to walk behind it for a look back.
Once you've seen that side, walk back past the tower and down the walkway and up the other side where you will be walking on top of the other side of the cliffs. There are many viewpoints here as well. You'll see cattle grazing in the field as you maneuver the paths. It is partly paved and partly dirt path. Shale rock has been placed to prevent falling.
Pro tip: Take pictures from all angles and take lots of them. The weather changes from sun to rain so you never know what you'll get and even then it changes. Try to get a bit of the foreground in the pictures it helps to show the immensity of the cliffs.
