You cannot visit Vancouver without trying several of the many wonderful restaurants the city has to offer. The range of cuisine mirrors the diversity of the city, its history, and its location by the ocean. It is a great place for the foodies among us!


Traditional meals include fresh seafood, (salmon, halibut, Dungeness crab, and oysters), Poutine, which originated in Quebec, Dim Sum, Bannock, (an indigenous dish made from flour, water, and baking powder served fried or baked, and butter tarts.


Pro tip: If you like Salmon, try it, it is the best I've had! The Dungeness crab is unique to the pacific northwest so great to try too! I also recommend fish and chips made with Salmon.


The list has been compiled through reviewing top-rated reviews and not my personal experience at each restaurant. As always, it is best to make reservations in advance when possible. I'm only listing 4-5 in each category so I would love to hear from you, my readers, on your favorites!
